In
2002, Jordan discovered The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, when
driving to Austin to attend a class in bio-feedback. He was
listening to the book on tape purchased from Half Price Books when
about halfway through the second tape he thought to himself, "That's
different!"
From that point on, Jordan transformed his counseling practice and life in accordance with that teaching. He began inviting teachers to Dallas to give talks and workshops on Power of Now related topics. The Daily Now, daily Eckhart quotes, and his Presence group was started shortly thereafter.
As an EMDR Certified licensed professional counselor with a masters degree in Counseling and Development, Jordan has helped many people by using his unique approach to physical, mental and emotional well-being. People are finding his synthesis of Mindfulness, Focusing and EMDR to be very beneficial. Jordan has been in private practice since 1998. His background includes military service in Vietnam as a neuropsychiatric procedures specialist and work as an exploration geophysicist with ARCO Oil & Gas in Plano, which give him diverse perspectives to add to his counseling repertoire.
